"THE HORN ARRANGER" -TENOR SAXOPHONE
Chet Frierson has been with Weekend Plans since its inception in 2016. He is the Lead Arranger and plays Tenor Saxophone in the band, but also plays Flute, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Keys, and Drums (super casually). Chet performs with various Richmond groups like The Significant Others, Brunswick, Jay Brown's Grace Street Seven, Jouwala Collective, Chet Frierson Quartet, Spunkified (Anthony Cosby Jr Prince Tribute Band), Pharaoh Sistare, and Tennishu. Chet went to VCU for Music as well. As far as musical influences go, he feels that every new situation is a new influence. In his spare time, Chet enjoys cooking, hanging out with friends, and traversing rocks on the James.

"MUSIC DIRECTOR" - DRUMS
DeSean Gault has been with Weekend Plans since its inception in 2016. He is the Musical Director and plays Drums in the band, but is also proficient on Keyboards and Bass Guitar. DeSean performs with multiple groups in the area such as Patrick Olivier Band, Anthony Cosby Jr. Prince Tribute Band, and Zöe Worship. He too went to VCU for Music Performance. He has too many musical influences to name but feels keeping an open mind to new styles is key. In his spare time, he enjoys playing video games, soccer, cooking, hanging with the familia, and bugging FSJC3.

"THE COMPOSER" - BASS
Jordan Mason co-started Weekend Plans with Kayen and Justin in 2016. He is the Lead Songwriter and plays Bass Guitar in the band. He also went to VCU for Music Performance. Some of his musical influences are James Brown, Motown Era music, EWF, Thundercat, and John Mayer. In his spare time, he enjoys watching and playing various sports, and playing video games.

"THE POETIC" - LYRICIST
Marquis Hazelwood, aka Logos the Poetic, joined Weekend Plans in July of 2019 as the band's Lyricist. He also raps in another Richmond-based group called IAMI Collective. He attended VCU for Psychology and Communication Sciences. Some of Logos' musical influences are JID, J Cole, Rakim, Nas, EMINEM, Kendrick Lamar, OutKast, Bon Iver, Kanye West, Childish Gambino, Smino, and many more. In his spare time, he is an actor, and casually plays Guitar.

"THE SOLOIST" - ALTO SAXOPHONE
Nate Clark has been with Weekend Plans since its inception in 2016. He plays Alto Saxophone in the band. Nate also plays in other bands around town like E 33rd, Dhemo, Abby Huston, and The Slank. He too went to VCU for Music Performance. Nate has too many musical influences to name, but he tries to take from anything he hears that he likes. In his spare time he enjoys walking, being outside, spending time with friends, and listening to vinyl.

"GINGER GIANT" - GUITAR
Forrest Link joined Weekend Plans in July of 2017. He plays Electric Guitar in the band, but is known to dabble in all flavors and varieties of Guitar, including Mandolin and Banjo. He performs with other bands around town like Trunk Show, No Charge, and Patrick Olivier Band, and is a pit musician. Forrest attended a year-long spell at VCU for music. Some of his musical influences are John Coltrane, Frank Zappa, Wes Montgomery, Steve Vai, Bill Evans, Isaac Hayes, Stevie Wonder, Lou Rawls, Duke Ellington, George Benson, Claude DeBussy, and John Williams (to name a few). In his spare time, he is a proud amateur photographer, lover of cinematography, and an RVA foodie.

"THE BANDLEADER" - SINGER/FLUGELHORN
Kayen Wilborn started the band in 2016 with Jordan and Justin. He plays Flugelhorn and is the Band Leader and Lead Singer in the band. He also performs in local Richmond bands like Brunswick, Dance Candy, and Groovespot. He went to VCU (Virginia Commonwealth University) for Music and Psychology. Some of his musical influences are John Legend, Durand Bernarr, Gregory Porter, Lee Morgan, EWF, Chet Baker, Anderson .Paak, A Tribe Called Quest, The Roots, Quincy Jones, Michael Jackson, and many others. In his spare time, his hobbies outside of music are cooking, playing video games, gardening, and spending time with friends.

"MR. LOGISTICS" - KEYBOARD
Justin Ott co-started Weekend Plans with Kayen and Jordan in 2016. He plays keyboards in the band. Justin also performs in another Richmond-based band called Honest Debts. He went to Shepherd University and VCU for music. Some of his many musical influences are Frank Sinatra, Billy Joel, EWF, Justin Timberlake, John Mayer, Robert Glasper, Stevie Wonder, Butcher Brown, Jacob Collier, Bruno Mars, and Anderson .Paak. In his spare time, he enjoys playing video games, cooking, and is a local restaurant foodie.
"As a kid I watched the original Star Wars trilogy VHS set so much that I had to replace it due to the tape itself wearing out."
